Answers to common questions

Tips for best results

  • Use the official PDF export from your bank's website, not a printed scan.
  • Remove password protection from PDFs before uploading.
  • Multi-page statements are fully supported — all pages are processed.
  • For scanned documents, ensure good lighting and minimal skew for best accuracy.
  • Opening/closing balance rows are ignored — only real transactions are extracted.

Getting started

How do I convert a bank statement?
Go to the Convert page, drag and drop your file (or click to browse), and wait for the AI to extract your transactions. Once done, review the results in the table and export as CSV or XLSX.
What file types are supported?
Digital PDFs give the best accuracy (99%+). Scanned PDFs, PNG, and JPG images are also supported via OCR. CSV exports from your bank work too.
Which banks are supported?
Any bank. The AI handles layout differences between Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, Capital One, US Bank, credit unions, and hundreds more — no configuration needed.
Is there a file size limit?
Files up to 50 MB are supported. For very large statements, try splitting the PDF into smaller parts before uploading.

Accuracy & editing

How accurate is the extraction?
Digital PDFs: 99%+ accuracy. Scanned documents: 95%+ depending on scan quality. You can always review and edit every transaction before exporting.
Can I edit transactions before exporting?
Yes. Click any cell in the transaction table to edit it inline. Changes are reflected immediately in your export.
What categories are assigned?
The AI infers a category from the description: income, payroll, transfer, utilities, software, advertising, travel, meals, supplies, rent, insurance, taxes, fees, or other.

Privacy & security

Is my financial data secure?
Files are uploaded to encrypted private storage. They are never used for AI training and never shared with third parties.
Who can see my files?
Only you. Each file is stored under your account and protected by database-level row security policies.

Account & billing

What is the free plan limit?
The free trial includes 120 pages over 14 days. Once you reach the page limit or the 14-day window closes, you'll need to upgrade to a paid plan to continue.
How do I upgrade?
Visit the Pricing page from the sidebar. Pro ($29/mo) and Accountant ($79/mo) plans offer higher limits and additional features.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
