Acceptance

By accessing or using LedgerLift ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all users, including free trial and paid subscribers.

The Service

LedgerLift provides AI-powered conversion of bank statement documents into structured spreadsheet formats. We do not provide financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Extracted transaction data is provided as-is for your own record-keeping purposes. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of all extracted data before use.

Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials.
• You may not share your account with others or use the Service on behalf of another person without authorization.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Upload files you do not have the right to process (e.g. documents belonging to others without authorization).
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service in a way that disrupts other users.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, including money laundering, fraud, or tax evasion.
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission.

Billing and subscriptions

• Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. All prices are in USD.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period; we do not issue prorated refunds.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
• Free trial conversions are limited to 5 lifetime conversions per account and are non-transferable.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of all files you upload and the transaction data extracted from them. By uploading files, you grant us a limited license to process them solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We claim no ownership over your financial documents or extracted data.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that extraction will be error-free or that the Service will be available without interruption. AI-extracted transaction data may contain errors; always verify against your original statements.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LedgerLift shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including damages resulting from errors in extracted data. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that harms other users or the integrity of the Service. You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your files and data will be permanently deleted.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by a notice in the app. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
